When we started this project, the house had been sitting empty for over a year. The second story had a gigantic bathroom and two tiny little bedrooms - nothing a family of today could feasibly use. So we reimagined the layout and determined that if we were able to go up one more story, we could capture a peek a boo view of Mt. Rainier. The top floor is now a large Primary Suite with an additional two ensuite bedrooms + an office. As you walk in the front door off the Ipe deck, you are welcomed by a gorgeous staircase straight ahead and ample room for indoor + outdoor entertaining. The family that calls this house a home is a very lucky family indeed.
